Hi, I'm Makenzie

I’m a licensed esthetician in West Point, IA, with a passion for results-driven skincare. I started my journey in the back of a small hair salon, growing my business into what it is today. Now, I’ve expanded into Duo Skin & Hydration, a space I share with my medical director, where our combined expertise works hand in hand—just like a true duo—to deliver incredible results.

With extensive training and ongoing education, I’m committed to bringing you the best in medical aesthetics. I specialize in treating all skin concerns, from acne and hyperpigmentation to texture and aging. My customized approach is designed to build a strong foundation for healthy, glowing skin—because great skin isn’t just a luxury, it’s a necessity.

Mission Statement

My mission is to provide exceptional spa services with high product quality and superior customer service within a relaxing environment. With the highest standards and integrity I continuously further my education and knowledge so that I can provide my clients with the best result oriented treatments, products and equipment within my business practice.

Appointments

I recommend making your appointments in advance to help ensure you get your preferred time. On your first visit please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to fill out all the necessary Skin Analysis Profile Forms. If you arrive late, please note that your treatment will end when originally scheduled as a courtesy to the next client.

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, please observe my 24-hour cancellation policy to avoid being charged for the scheduled treatment. You will be charge 50% of the service if you cancel within the 24-hour period. If you no call/no show, you will be charged 100% of the service scheduled.

Gratuities

Gratuities are not included in the price of the service, and may be given at your discretion. Gratuities are greatly appreciated, but not expected.

Gift Certificates/E-Gift Cards

Gift Certificates are not redeemable for cash. Gift Certificates are non-refundable and non-transferable. Gift Certificates will not be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed. Service prices are subject to change without notice. Any change on service price will be subject to additional charges. Gift Certificates will have an expiration date.

Visitor/Child Policy

The Treatment room is reserved for the client only. UNLESS communicated to me prior to the appointment. (Ex. mom and daughter facials, a child between 12-18 needing to be accompanied by an adult, etc.) Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to accompany client in the treatment room for their safety.
